• Nodding means no — Bulgarians traditionally shake their head for yes and nod for no, which can confuse visitors.
• Carry some cash in leva — The currency is the Bulgarian lev, and small bars, beach vendors and taxis often prefer cash.
• Agree taxi fares in advance — Use marked, reputable taxis and confirm the meter or price to avoid overcharging around the resort.
• Beach loungers cost extra — Sunbeds and umbrellas on the main beach carry a rental fee, so budget for it or bring your own mat.
