- Ansonica wine — A crisp dry white wine made from Ansonica grapes grown on the island's sun-drenched slopes.

Local customs & good to know
- Book ferries in advance in summer — July and August ferries from Piombino fill up fast; reserve your spot weeks ahead.
- Hire a scooter or car on the island — Public transport is limited; a scooter is the ideal way to reach remote beaches.
- Respect protected marine areas — Parts of Elba's coast are within a marine park; anchoring and fishing may be restricted.
