One of the world's oldest rainforests with the Perak section featuring the famous Canopy Walkway and abundant wildlife. It is a paradise for jungle trekking, river activities, and wildlife spotting.

Local customs & good to know
- Respect Orang Asli Communities — The indigenous Orang Asli people live within and around the park; visitors should obtain permission before photographing them or entering their settlements and purchase crafts directly from them as cultural respect.
- Hire Licensed Park Guides — Using official registered guides from Taman Negara headquarters is mandatory for safety, ecological conservation, and to ensure knowledge of wildlife behavior and cultural sites.
- Monsoon Season Awareness — The park closes or restricts access during November to March when flooding is common; plan visits during April to October for safe access to all trails and activities.
- Leave No Trace Ethics — The rainforest is strictly protected; visitors must pack out all waste, stay on marked trails, refrain from touching wildlife, and follow park regulations to preserve this ancient ecosystem.
