The itinerary
- Day 1: Uffizi Gallery (Your own places) — View masterworks by Botticelli, Leonardo, and Michelangelo in the main galleries; Enjoy dinner at a traditional trattoria in the quieter streets south of the Arno
- Day 1: Duomo & Baptistry District (Your own places) — Climb the dome (Cupola del Brunelleschi) for panoramic city views; Study the bronze doors of the Baptistry, especially Ghiberti's famous 'Gates of Paradise'
- Day 1: Ponte Vecchio & Oltrarno (Your own places) — Browse jeweller shops and leather craftsmen on and near the bridge; Visit the Pitti Palace for Renaissance art and Medici history
- Day 2: Palazzo Pitti (Your own places) — Explore the Palatine Gallery to see works by Raphael, Rubens, and Titian in opulent Renaissance rooms; Wander Via Maggio and Via dell'Orto for independent galleries, jewellery studios, and hidden renaissance courtyards; Take gelato and sit people-watching at a piazza café; try cantucci biscuits with vin santo wine at a local enoteca
- Day 2: Boboli Gardens (Your own places) — Walk through the amphitheatre, visit the Grotta Grande, and climb to the Forte Belvedere viewpoint for city vistas
- Day 2: Santo Spirito (Your own places) — Attend evensong or simply sit in the harmonious interior; explore the artisan leather and restoration workshops in the piazza arcades; Browse the Wednesday morning flea market in Piazza Santo Spirito for vintage books, prints, and local crafts
