Local customs & good to know
- Cash is essential — Many small beach restaurants and boat operators only accept cash in remote areas.
- Respect marine reserves — Parts of the coastline are protected zones where anchoring and fishing are prohibited.
- August is very busy — Italians holiday here in August, so visit in June or September for a quieter experience.
